GOD, WHERE ARE YOU?

Have you ever asked this question, “God, Where are you?” Pretty sure most of us have. When we get into hardship or disaster we start looking around everywhere trying to find God. We stop and listen hoping to make a connection with His voice. Many command God to come down and help them. Others pleas for the help of the Lord God Almighty. Some become angry thinking the time they need God the most He is no where to be found.
Have you ever used google maps? You zoom in and you can see colors. You zoom in more and you can see hills and trees, you zoom in even more and you can see the highway and with a few more steps of zooming in, you can see the house, the car, maybe even the dog or cat. If you could keep zooming you might could see the ant or spider crawling in the sand. Do you doubt that google can zoom right in on you? No, we know google can do that because we have set and zoomed in many times to see someones location.
Well, God is much higher than the camera that google uses and he can zoom in much closer than google ever dreamed of zooming in. Why do we still feel He is gone?
In our minds we can only comprehend what we have learned while living upon this earth, yet to have the mind of God we would know there are no limits. Christ doesn’t tell us to be all knowing, Christ doesn’t tell us we have to be like a king, a chief, a soldier or a parent. What Christ does tell us is, be like children. Why?
Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of Christ, as dear children.
A child trust the parent will be there for them.
The child trust when they fall down the parent will give them the best care.
The child trust the parent to hold them close and let them feel their presence and to smell the aroma of comfort and peace.
God doesn’t come and sit physically by our side like we so desire. He is far greater and far wiser than to zero in on one person and leave the rest of the world alone.
Sit out at night-time and look at the sky, zoom in and see the stars, try to zoom as far as your eyes or telescope can possibly see and yet, God is so much further out than that. He is so far out that He can look down and see every individual upon the face of the earth. His mind is so great, he knows every movement each person will make. Just like you, if you had hundreds of children, you would look at the full picture to make a decision and each child may feel left out, all the while you would be working out a more perfect life for them all, but they can’t see that so they begin to question you on your decision and/or even panic and cry out.
So often we do just that, question God on his decision. When we do, God understands that we are just children and many times confused. Like the child who slips their hand into their mother or fathers hand for comfort and peace, we too need to let go of the fear and slip our hand inside of His and walk the path together. He is there even if He feels thousands of miles away. He is there, so tell him how you feel. He is there, let Him carry the burden and rest that He is all knowing, all loving and all mighty and He is God, your father, the great creator of the universe, and He’s got this one because He never makes a mistake.
Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy paths.
