RENEWED DAY BY DAY

Bonny Kobialko

What a joy to be over 50 years old and truly understand the words to II Corinthians 4:16.  There just isn’t much renewing of this outward body that takes place lately.  Just seems day by day it slides a bit further off the slippery slope and the moments of joy you can find in 2020 during the COVID crisis, there is always someone standing close by to throw cold water all over it.

This verse is just the opposite and surely what I was in need of for the day.  II Corinthians 4:16 starts out on the discouraging note of reality and it builds into a magnificent resounding ensemble of praise knowing there is an inner man (soul) that is gaining strength.

I have not only lived a life, but I have lived a very full life planting seeds into an eternal garden,  cultivating and watering it constantly.  There were many difficult days as the computer never seemed to work right with programs always freezing   My body didn’t want to work with me but constantly against me and many times there were no funds to minister with, yet we kept on as if there were.

There have been many times I looked out the window of my heart and sank in discouragement that the garden didn’t seem healthy or flourishing in the areas I felt it should.  That is when, one must then trust the earthly eyes are just not able to see the heavenly results.

As the inward man is renewed, the fog of defeat will roll away and one day the Lord will say, “Well done” and open the window for the full view.

Until that day we must stay diligent to plant the seed and trust someone else will come along for the great harvest.

So today we walk forth renewed and ready to plant more seeds for the harvest.

John 4:35  Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields for they are already white unto harvest. .

Luke 10:2  The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

Matthew 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborer’s into His harvest.
